Day 40 (21st September 2019)
Today I built my first LiteX-based (https://github.com/enjoy-digital/litex) bitstream for the ECP5 and also spent some time browsing through its codebase and family of cores. While I am yet to test the generated bitstream on actual hardware, I found the ease with which it allows a complex SoC to be generated through Python intriguing. I have now installed PyCharm on my system to develop with LiteX and will be deep diving into it in the days to come, and maybe come up with a custom core along the way. Let’s see.
